Goodman Plaza Free Grand Opening Celebration Set for Sept. 20
LAS VEGAS – The City of Las Vegas will mark the beginning of festival season with the official Grand Opening Celebration of the Carolyn G. Goodman Plaza at the Las Vegas Civic Center on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The all-day celebration will feature a mix of live music, food, and family-friendly entertainment in the heart of downtown. Guests can look forward to performances from local favorites, including Jacob Smigel, B. Rose, The Dirty Hooks, and Home Cookin’.
Adding to the festivities, local food trucks and dessert vendors will be on-site, serving up a variety of culinary treats, while Able Baker Brewery will provide refreshing craft beer selections.
The celebration is designed to be a community gathering for all ages. Families are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs and relax on the plaza lawn while enjoying artisan vendor booths, free face painting, and children’s activities.
