LAS VEGAS — Nearly 500 dogs are currently in the care of The Animal Foundation, with 318 arriving in just the past week. Facing this urgent overcrowding crisis, the shelter has announced the return of its foster incentive program, designed to quickly place dogs into safe, temporary homes and save lives.

The goal is to move dozens of dogs into month-long foster homes within five days, creating crucial space for incoming animals. To encourage participation, fosters who complete a full four-week foster commitment will receive $200 upon completion of the program.

Program Details

  • Dates: Now through Friday, Sept. 19
  • Location: The Animal Foundation, 655 N. Mojave Rd., Las Vegas
  • Hours: Foster pickup window open daily from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. in the adoption lobby
  • Eligible Dogs:
    • Over six months old

“This program is truly a lifeline,” shelter representatives said. “By opening your home to a foster dog, you’re helping us save lives and give these animals the time they need to find permanent families.”
